Our Team Members

Larissa joined the practice as a Veterinary Assistant in March 2013 and graduated from the St. Petersburg College Veterinary Technology program in December 2016 to become a Registered Veterinary Technologist in June 2017.  She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Biochemistry from St. Xavier University in Chicago.  She worked as a veterinary assistant in Chicago for 4 years and has extensive experience and graduate education in animal care, including pets, wildlife, dairy calves, and behavioral research. In her spare time she enjoys completing Native American crafts, playing ice hockey, reading, running, and spending time outdoors. Larissa and her husband Anthony share their home with their animal kids: Dahlia (Pit Bull), Boy (Dutch Shepherd mix), Kaala (Calico), Tao (Siamese), Knuckles (hedgehog), Aurora and Smokey (parakeets), and fish.

One of her favorite parts of being a vet tech is making lasting bonds with the animals as well as their human counterparts. Every animal deserves love, respect, and care. And their humans deserve the ability to make educated decisions regarding the animal’s health and well-being.
